ICE

One of the best of the newer varieties, Ice
is to be found on many coffeeshop menus. A good
commercial plant, Ice is a three-way cross of
Afghani, Skunk No. 1 and Northern Lights.
Producing large and sticky snow white buds that
are extremely solid and dense and heavily coated
with crystals, this plant has a sweet, succulent smell
and produces a Northern Lights-like high that has
some pleasant twists to it.
Flowering period: 8 weeks.

NORTHERN LIGHTS/SHIVA

Another Northern Lights cross but a particularly
good one. The pungent and spicey Afghani
characteristics of the Shiva plant combine well with
the sweet fruitiness of the Northern Lights to
produce a well rounded and lip-smacking taste.
The combination of source strains has a good effect,
also, on the plant's growth pattern, making for
few leaves and large dense buds. And it is the same
with the high; all of the top notes of the Northern
Lights are there but they are supported by a big
Shiva hit.
Flowering period: eight weeks.
