Paypal is a simple and secure system for making payments over the web using your credit card. Although it is necessary to create a PayPal account to pay for goods, doing so is an easy and painless process. No more information is required to set up a PayPal account than would be required for any web purchase. PayPal accounts are free to set up. And once your account is set up you can use it to send cash to anyone with an e-mail address, to buy at auctions and for your web purchases.

The ease and speed with which PayPal works depends largely on the country in which you reside. For US customers, sign-up takes moments and the transaction (under $250.00) goes through immediately. Transactions involving sums over $250.00 takes three to four days to process. US customers who already have a PayPal account can simply log on and send their payment.

For customers in other countries processing the first transaction takes a little longer. In order to maintain a secure systsem, PayPal requires international customers to ‘verify’ their credit card before the account becomes active. For those with on-line access to their credit card company, the credit card verification process takes three to four days. For others it takes from two to four weeks. (Your credit card is verified by PayPal making a token deduction of $1.00 from your card account. This deduction, which is paid into your PayPal account, generates a code number with which the account holder can log on to and activate the PayPal account. If the account holder does not have on-line credit card access, the number appears on the next mailed credit card statement.)

Although, for sellers with US bank accounts, PayPal offers buyers an immediate transaction option through a one-click button that processes the order and payment in real-time, this service has not yet been extended to international accounts. As soon as an instant transaction option is available to international account holders, Coffeehouse Culture will update the Cultcha Shop to make payment as easy as possible.

Fortunately, while the less than immediate payment process through PayPal has an impact on international customers, it only applies to a few products within the Cultcha Shop. For US customers, Paypal offers a fast, reliable, secure and easy to use payment option. For customers in the United Kingdom and The Netherlands, however, PayPal may be not be so convenient. For customers in these countries we have a number of very easy and simple payment options that do not require a credit card.
